Gary has been raising his own pigs since he graduated from high school in 1979. He learned from his dad Allan, and was quickly known as one of the most dominant breeders in the state. Throughout the years, the herd has gone through severe cut backs in size, huge swings in styles and genetics, and has still stayed competitive according to industry standards.
Today, the goal is the same. Now, Gary and Stephanie along with their two sons and their wives Tyler and Megan, and Cooper and Bailee run approximately 40 sows and 10 herd boars. Gary and Cooper oversee the majority of the day to day operations and Tyler manages the breeding program, website, social media, and online sales. The farm also consists of a small cow-calf operation, custom feed lot, and approximately 300 acres of alfalfa, corn, wheat, and barley.
