The high seller from Moyer’s January sale! FIRST BREATH BLEW US AWAY as a baby pig and we had to own him. We’ve watched the Breath Taker deal very closely and I can tell you with absolute confidence after going to Moyer’s and seeing the set of them that if there’s a boar worth $400,000 it’s him, and this one takes it to another level. The fact that his mother is a littermate to Back Slap (sire of the highly influential Absolute at Heimers among many others) was the icing on the cake for us. If you haven’t heard about the quality of pigs that Back Slap made then here’s a quick synopsis - he was one of the top sires we’ve seen in the last five years and generated for all sorts of influential firms, making sons that are making an impact and winners at all levels including the Reserve Grand gilt at NAILE, champion at LSU, and the champion cross at the Buckeye Show Circuit. Tying into not only Breath Taker but also Back Slap’s sister makes First Breath a no-brainer and raises our confidence level that he will sire winners but also breeding stock that will breed on…Phenotypically, For those of you looking for a shot of look, muscle, and bone, here you go!
